Portland dethroned as America’s most bike-friendly, despite $600m plan?
This just in: Bicycling magazine, the major cycling publication in the United States, has just dumped Portland as America’s most bike-friendly city in favour of icy Minneapolis. Interesting, but what nearly stopped my heart was this line: Portland has a $600 million cycling infrastructure plan to the year 2030.
Surely there’s an extra zero in there somewhere. Vancouver, by contrast, doubled cycling infrastructure spending last year to about $3.4 million.
